Long before the Disney Cruise Line, Disney once had plans to convert an unused oil tanker into the “S.S. Disney”, a floating theme park that could travel around the world, stopping at various cities to bring a unique theme park experience to places without a Disney theme park. The S.S. Disney would’ve featured a wide variety of rides including “it’s a small world”, “Astro Orbiter”, “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea”, “Star Tours”, as well as unique new attractions, making it a sampling of the best Disney has to offer.
